Open a deal

Steps

1. Click New deal on Today or Pipeline.
2. Type a Deal name - usually the customer and what they are buying. Required.
3. Name the Company. Start typing and pick one from the list, or keep typing and choose "Create ... as a new company". A name that matches an existing company links to it rather than making a twin.
4. Add a Contact and a Value if you have them. Both optional. The contact is created with the deal and linked to the company. Value is dollars - 12000, or 12000.50.
5. Fill in Details · all optional - Pipeline (only when you have more than one), Stage, Close date and Next steps. Each step can have its own person; left blank, it is yours.
6. Click Create deal. You land on the deal's own page.
