My deal isn't in the forecast

Fix1 min
In one sentenceA deal sits under Excluded when it has been in its stage longer than the stage's typical days with no hold and no explanation; advance it, log what's in the way, or say why it's fine.

What you're seeing

The deal is on the Pipeline, but its value is not in Commit. It sits under Excluded with a line like "22d in Proposal vs 14d typical, unaccounted - advance it or log what's in the way", or it is not on the Forecast at all.

Why

The Forecast is derived from status, never set by hand. Only open deals are bucketed: won counts under Closed won, lost does not appear. Moving, due and cleared deals land in Commit, held in Best case, overdue in Excluded. Overdue means more days in its stage than the stage's "days typical" under Admin › Stages, with no hold and no live explanation - and an explanation lapses the day after its Good until date. A deal missing altogether is usually owned by someone outside your reach; the note under the Forecast heading says so.

What to do

Advance the deal a stage. Or log what's in the way on the deal, which moves it to Best case until the hold clears. Or click Why is this fine? on the row, type what they said, pick a Good until date - at most the days your workspace allows, never past the close date - and click Count it; dragging the row into Commit opens the same form. It stays in Commit through that date, then falls out on its own; Take it back out reverses it early. A stage with no typical days never goes overdue.
